With support from Middlebury Collge’s Davis Collaborative in Conflict Transformation, BLTN NextGen welcomes three new “Affiliate Sites” in 2023. Affiliate sites join the network with a youth advisor, a BLTN-affiliated site mentor, and with plans to participate in at least one cross-site event during the year.

Henrico, VA Students at JR Tucker High School aspire to raise awareness and elevate voices that aren’t usually heard. They hope a local NextGen site can serve as a safe environment for kids to exchange ideas and come up with solutions/systems of support. Immediately, Henrico members are considering reaching out to local groups that focus on communal storytelling (similar to the Moth group) or groups that host slam events/open mic events.
- Site Mentor: Colin Baumgartner
- Youth Advisors: Menna Dawelbeit and Tien Hoang
